Knowledgeable staff and terrific service, peaceful location. Nice assortment of pastries and cheese for breakfast. The room was generous-sized and recently upgraded, the bathroom was very new. The staff did all they can for a special stay.

Would definitely recommend and would stay here again. Liked this place, it was awesome. Bed was comfy, like a cloud. Stopped by The Old Sawmill Teashop to get some coffee and treats, it's a few steps away from the venue, recommend.

Mineral water, tea and coffee in the bar. Attractive and competitive value for money against other hotels in Bassenthwaite. We liked the fact that we chose highside farm b&b. Perfect for city break.
